প্লেনস্পটিং: বিমানটি এখন কোথায় আছে?

বিমান-উৎসাহী। পর্যবেক্ষক। সৌখিন। অনুসরণকারী। বিমান-গুরু। এরকম নানান শব্দে নিজেদের পরিচয় দিতে ভালোবাসেন প্লেনস্পটাররা। এক জায়গাতেই তাদের মিল – উড়োজাহাজ খুঁজে বের করা। তারা বিমান ওঠা-নামা পর্যবেক্ষণ করেন, সময় লিখে রাখেন, ছবি তোলেন এবং লোগো বা ডিজাইনে নতুন কোনো বৈশিষ্ট্য পেলে তা-ও লিপিবদ্ধ করেন। এমন অনেক বিমান-স্পটার আছেন যারা ছবি, ভিডিও এবং টেইল নাম্বার থেকে শুরু করে চলাচলের পথসহ সনাক্ত করার মত সব তথ্য অনলাইনে পোস্ট করেন।
প্লেনস্পটিংয়ের যত রিসোর্স আছে তা এই তালিকায় সংকলন করেছে অর্গানাইজড ক্রাইম অ্যান্ড করাপশন রিপোর্টিং প্রজেক্ট (ওসিসিআরপি)। ২০১৮ সালের সেই লেখায় তারা যেসব সাইট ঘুরে দেখার পরামর্শ দিয়েছে. তা হলো:

বিশ্বে ফিল্টারবিহীন ফ্লাইট ডেটার সবচে বড় উৎস এডিএসবি এক্সচেঞ্জ এবং সিফরঅ্যাডস (C4ADS)। তারা এই তথ্য সংগ্রহ এবং ব্যবস্থাপনা করে। এই দুই প্রতিষ্ঠানের সাথে সমন্বয় করে ওসিসিআরপি’র ডেটা টিম শাসকগোষ্ঠীর অনুগত ব্যবসায়ী এবং রাজনৈতিক নেতারা, কোথায়-কীভাবে ভ্রমন করেন তা খুঁজে বের করার একটি ব্যবস্থা দাঁড় করিয়েছে। এরকম বেশ কিছু উদাহরণসহ একটি বিবরণ পাবেন এই ব্লগপোস্টে।
কলাম্বিয়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিলা করোনেল তার নিজের ব্লগ ওয়াচডগ ওয়াচারে প্লেনস্পটিং এবং সাংবাদিকতা নিয়ে একটি প্রতিবেদন লিখেছেন। সেখানে তিনি বলেছেন, বিমান খুঁজে বের করার এইসব সাইট সাংবাদিকদের জন্য দারুণ কার্যকরী। সাংবাদিকরা বিমান চলাচলের তথ্য ঘেঁটে কীভাবে নানা অনিয়মের ঘটনা উন্মোচন করেছেন, এখানে তার বেশকিছু উদাহরণ আছে। তার মধ্যে একটি হলো তিউনিসিয়ান ব্লগার আসট্রুবালের, যিনি তুলে ধরেন দেশটির প্রেসিডেন্ট বেন আলীর স্ত্রী সরকারি অর্থের কতটা অপচয় করেন। গুগল ম্যাপ ও প্লেনস্পটিং সাইটের তথ্য ব্যবহার করে তিনি প্রেসিডেন্টের বিমান ট্র্যাক করেন এবং দেখান, সেটি ইউরোপের ফ্যাশন-নগরীগুলোতে কতবার অনানুষ্ঠানিক ট্রিপ দিয়েছে।
করোনেল আরেক সাংবাদিকের উদাহারন দেন, যিনি তার অনুসন্ধানে প্লেনস্পটিং সাইট থেকে কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য সংগ্রহ করেন, “সম্ভাব্য সন্ত্রাসীদের সিআইএ কোথায় রাখছে” তা প্রমাণ করার জন্যে। তিনি ব্যাখ্যা করেন, ওয়াল স্ট্রিট জার্নালের সাংবাদিকরা খুঁজে বের করেন কীভাবে কর্পোরেট জেট ব্যবহার করে ব্যক্তিগত প্রমোদ ভবনে যাচ্ছেন বিভিন্ন কোম্পানির শীর্ষ নির্বাহীরা। পরে এই সব তথ্য দিয়ে তারা জেটট্র্যাকার নামে একটি ডেটাবেসও তাদের সাইটে প্রকাশ করেন।
শিলা করোনেলের প্রতিবেদন থেকে আমরা নিচের তালিকাটি তৈরি করেছি। যেসব সাংবাদিক তাদের রিপোর্টে উড়োজাহাজ স্পটিং সাইটের ডেটা ব্যবহার করতে আগ্রহী, এটি তাদের কাজে আসবে।
অনলাইনে ঘাঁটলেই এমন অনেক সাইট পাবেন যারা প্লেনস্পটারদের তোলা ছবি আপলোড করে থাকে। আপনার কোনো বিমানের ছবি দরকার হলে, বা ছবি মেলাতে হলে এসব সাইট ঘুরে আসতে পারেন।
কিছু সাইট আছে যেখানে এয়ারক্রাফটের রেজিস্ট্রেশন সংক্রান্ত সব ধরনের তথ্য পাওয়া যায়। সার্চ করে নিবন্ধন তথ্য বের করা যায় এমন দুটি ডেটাবেস হলো ল্যান্ডিংস এবং এয়ারফ্রেমস।
বিমান চলাচলের পথ এবং তা ট্র্যাক করার জন্য আপনার কাজে আসবে ফ্লাইট এক্সপ্লোরার, প্লেনফাই্ন্ডার, ফ্লাইট অ্যাওয়্যার, এবং ফ্লাইটরাডার২৪। এসব সাইট আপনাকে নির্দিষ্ট বিমানের ওঠানামা সম্পর্কে ওয়াকিবহাল রাখতে সাহায্য করবে।

GIJN Welcomes 10 New Members from 10 Countries
|
The Global Investigative Journalism Network is delighted to welcome to 10 new member organizations. We are particularly pleased to welcome for the first time groups from Ghana, Venezuela, Malaysia, Liberia, and New Zealand. Among the new members are award-winning reporting centers in Serbia and South Africa, online publishers in Malaysia and Venezuela, an African cross-border reporting network, and training groups based in Liberia, Germany, Mexico, and the Netherlands.

GIJN Elects New Global Board

The results are in! GIJN members have voted for their first elected board of directors, selecting 15 people from 11 countries. The week-long online election ended June 16. “It’s a really strong board with a good mix of people from different countries and regions, and also a good combination of GIJN veterans and new members,” said GIJN co-founder Nils Mulvad. “In fact, there are also many great people who ran but were not elected this time. I hope we can count on them to help us where they have expertise.”
